What the job's like

If you like the hunt and hustle this is the job for you. This role is primarily business development, with the opportunity to grow and nurture accounts once they’re established. You’ll work closely with our leadership and consulting teams to identify opportunities, build relationships with decision makers and shape engagements that solve meaningful problems. What you'll do:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across enterprise, government and emerging companies
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, product owners and technology executives
• Shape consulting and delivery engagements alongside our technical leadership
• Lead proposals, commercial negotiations and deal closure
• Manage and grow key client relationships once projects are underway
• Represent SixPivot in the market through industry events, networks and partnerships

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead who thrives on the challenge of opening doors, creating opportunities and shaping deals that deliver real outcomes.

The tech side of things

You’ll be selling high-value consulting and software development services across:
• AI and modern data platforms
• Cloud-native application development (Azure / AWS)
• Digital product development
• Complex enterprise and government solutions
• Innovation and transformation initiatives

Your customers will range from innovative startups to large enterprises and government agencies.

What we need from you

• Demonstrable progressive experience in business development in technology consulting or closely aligned
• Selling software development, cloud, AI or digital transformation services
• Working with SME, enterprise or government customers
• Proven success closing complex, high value deals across managed services, projects and professional services.
• Consultative, solution led seller, trusted to engage senior stakeholders and deliver long term outcomes.
• Strong pipeline builder, across strategic existing accounts and targeted new acquisition.
• Commercially astute and collaborative, owning pipeline progression.
• Tell us your success stories, which business development techniques have been effective for you in recent times and how you have managed to achieve efficiencies in how you operate.

Bonus if you have experience working with:
• A good understanding of the Microsoft services and knowledge of working with the Microsoft partnership and sales organisation.
• Modern software development environments
• AI or emerging technology initiatives

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Enjoy working with technical experts to craft meaningful solutions
• Care about long-term client outcomes, not just quick sales

- Superannuation payments continue to be paid on parental leave
- Profit sharing: an equal distribution of profit each year for all team member (after you've been with us for a year)
- And we pay fortnightly (your salary and your super)
